China Taiping Insurance Group Co., Ltd., abbreviated as "China Taiping", was founded in Shanghai in 1929. It is the oldest national insurance brand in my country's history, and it is also my country's only centrally managed financial company with its management headquarters overseas. China Taiping originated from the three national brands of Taiping Insurance, China Insurance, and Minan Insurance. It was included in the central management at the end of 2011 and upgraded to a vice-ministerial financial central enterprise. In 2013, it completed the restructuring and overall listing, and officially changed its name to China Taiping Insurance Group Co., Ltd. China Taiping inherits the red gene and national blood, based in Hong Kong, cross-border operations, and serving the world. In recent years, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, China Taiping has developed rapidly and has been promoted to the Fortune Global 500 for three consecutive years, ranking 392th. In 2019, China Taiping’s operating income exceeded 200 billion yuan for the first time, total assets exceeded 900 billion yuan, and assets under management exceeded 1.4 trillion yuan. It has become a company with more than 500,000 internal and external employees, 24 subsidiaries and more than 2,000 companies.
