What started as a start-up is now a successful global IT company! This actually makes Software AG older than Microsoft or SAP. We owe this to six young employees from the Institute for Applied Information Processing (AIV) in Darmstadt, who founded Software AG in 1969 with a head full of ideas. Back then and even now you won't find our name "Software AG" in any movie credits, on any plane, on any sweet or coffee cup. But - our software however is everywhere; leading companies use our technology so that they can offer their customers a first-class service for their products.
