Ballet - and dance school TanzZwiEt

1991, Berlin was still hip, the Kunsthaus Tacheles was quite recently founded, today's star choreographer Sasha Waltz had not even started her first small residence at the Kreuzberg Künstlerhaus Bethanien when the dance teacher and choreographer Susanne Rinnert, who was inspired and shaped by the Palucca School, founded im Cultural center WABE in Prenzlauer Berg the TanzZwiEt. ZwiEt originally stood for "in between", for the mezzanine floor between the theater under the roof and the gallery on the ground floor, in which a dance room was expanded and the children's cultural floor became home. This is where the TanzZwiEt ensemble, the nucleus and core of TanzZwiEt, rehearsed. The first major productions began in the 90s together with the band and the Rumpelstil music theater, the Nobel Popel music theater. Even today, dance theater and ballet performances are an integral part of dance education and are open to all students. The productions won awards and went to Switzerland and New York.
