Blieske Architects Lighting Designers

Jan Blieske is an architect, lighting designer and product designer. He is a professor for "Lighting Applications in Architecture" on the Architectural Lighting Design course at the Faculty of Design at Wismar University. Jan Blieske began his work as a lighting planner as a project manager and later office manager of the Berlin lighting design studio studio dinnebier. In 2008, together with Jan Dinnebier, he founded the light planning office »Dinnebier + Blieske«, which since 2016 has been exclusively concerned with the development of products for the lighting industry. Together with Jan Dinnebier, he developed various innovative products such as the "in-track" track adapter and the multi-award-winning "FaltBoxLED" series. In June 2016 Jan Blieske founded the "blieske architects lighting designers" office. The office sees lighting design as an integral part of the architectural design process. Together with his team, he researches the possibilities of optimally perceiving architecture using the lighting effect as an architectural means.
