Qingdao Central Hospital (also known as the Second Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao Medical College) was founded in 1953 (originally known as Qingdao Textile Hospital). It is the first batch of tertiary A hospitals in Qingdao. It was renamed in 2003 with the approval of the Provincial Health Department and the Municipal Health Bureau.
