There was once… ... at a time when the internet was learning to run! Back in 1995, a website only meant having a digital business card on the WorldWideWeb, on which a company proudly published its address and contact details and perhaps presented one or the other additional information that briefly described the company's respective field of activity. At this (Internet-Stein) time, ditho GmbH, based in Schwerte / North Rhine-Westphalia (near Dortmund), was established as a retail specialist for office and computer technology with its own sales and exhibition rooms on Hörder Straße and its own technical IT department founded. The picture on the right shows this first location in Schwerte / Ruhr. The cradle of our house, so to speak. As an innovative IT company, ditho naturally also had such a web business card under the domain ditho.de. And we began to conduct parts of our daily correspondence electronically by e-mail, provided that our correspondence partners were already using "modern technology". We definitely had the feeling that the future had begun. And that's how it was. We immediately recognized the possibilities that the medium of the Internet would bring about. And we were firmly convinced that this new medium would actually change the future of all of us. For this reason, we expanded our portfolio relatively soon after the company was founded to include the service area of ​​web design, web hosting and domain registration. We made our first experiences in this profession and were very lucky to accompany and follow the development of the Internet to this day, so that today we can fall back on a well-founded wealth of experience. Last but not least, that's what made us what we are today. is one of the first and therefore most experienced Internet Service Providers (ISP) in Germany! With almost 25 years of experience in the field of web design, web hosting and domain registration as well as a comprehensive service and support concept, we are a competent and reliable partner for our customers. We currently support small and large commercial customers from all over Germany as well as in neighboring European countries and Switzerland. We have our own IT web server structures in the largest data center in Germany and also in data centers in the Netherlands and the USA and manage several thousand Internet domains.
